Newtown Junior Golf Club
NJGC is a junior golf program providing youth in the Hampton Roads area with the opportunity to learn and play the game of golf and to facilitate their personal and academic development. Glenn Hughes founded it on April 8, 1998. Since it's induction, NJGC has been involved in many events throughout the Hampton Roads area. Most notably, the Tiger Woods Foundation Clinic on September 23, 2000 where Mr. Woods' foundation donated money to continue our efforts. NJGC always welcomes new members, as we would like to reach as many youth as possible.

To learn more about NJGC; please see our "Mission of NJGC" page where our history and mission are outlined.
Golf Tip 2002
A very fine device for improving your tempo, smoothing out your rhythm, and improving your balance is to swing with your feet together, and when I say together, I mean actually touching. Fifty shots like this could do wonders for your tempo and rhythm. This maneuver is also a fine way to start developing a tempo slower than the one you've been playing with.
